Tony Galis LAc.

Tony graduated with a Masters degree from Five Branches University in 2010 and is licensed to practice acupuncture in Georgia and California.  Tony has taught at Medical College of Georgia, Five Branches University, and has overseen clinical rotations for medical students from Augusta University and the University of Georgia.  His private practice is focused in Internal Medicine, Chinese herbal medicine, and Pain and Orthopedic medicine.  He is also a long time practitioner of Internal martial arts, Yijing and Daoism.  Tony teaches qigong and a complete curriculum of Yang style Taijiquan.  He practices in Athens, GA at Thrive Integrative Medicine, which he founded with his wife, Jana Galis, LAc.

Danielle Pechac LAc.

My name is Danielle and I am proud to announce that I have joined the 2020 GAAAM board as your Vice President! I graduated with a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree from Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine in 2012 and a Bachelors in Sports Management and Business Administration from the University of Florida in 2009..GO GATORS! I am both a Georgia and Florida licensed acupuncturist certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. My education at DRCOM allowed me to train in Contemporary Oriental Medicine and Chinese Pulse Diagnosis, which encompasses the best features of how emotions manifest physically, TCM, Five Elements, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and many other techniques. My areas of focus are on mental emotional health and trauma, addiction, stress management, and pediatrics. I live with my vivacious daughter, Farrah Jade, in Hall County and practice in Midtown ATL.

Rawls Whittlesley LAc.

Rawls Whittlesey is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of Georgia, a Certified Nutrition Consultant and Integrative Yoga Teacher. She practices Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine and Diet Therapy at Balanced Energy Wellness in Peachtree City treating a wide range of conditions including pain of all kinds, stress and anxiety, infertility, insomnia, digestive issues, and chronic illnesses such as Fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, and autoimmune disorders. She also teaches yoga at Journey Through Movement in Peachtree City and the Tyrone Recreation Department.


Rawls has practiced Chinese Medicine for 5 years. It is a second career for her after making this transition following a 35 year career in Information Technology. She holds an Associates Degree in Information Technology from Santa Fe Community College, a Bachelors of Business Administration from Clayton State University and a Masters in Acupuncture from the Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine. She is also a Diplomate of the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine where she completed a two year course in Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Leena Cook LAc.

Leena Cook L.Ac., received her Masters of Oriental Medicine from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2000. She is licensed in the State of Georgia and board certified by National Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Leena taught at acupuncture schools in Asheville N.C. for 10 years and has been both a global educator and vital member within the holistic community for more than 20 years. Amongst her most notable wellness contributions to society, the founding of Healthy Body & Soul, Inc (HBS) has been on the forefront of her efforts.
